I offer a variety of workshops to help your organization get curious about inclusivity. I have the below workshops developed, but can customize to your organizations need, or create new workshops if there are specific topics you feel your organization would benefit from.

Creating a Culture Celebrating Neurodiversity is a workshop that dives into the neurodiversity of human minds and how embracing these differences can improve workplaces and individual empowerment and satisfaction.
This workshop explores re-envisioning strategies to influence change. Rather than yelling “bad bad bad” like the Lorax, we can consider positive messaging and addressing basic needs to encourage change.
Integrating Environmental Justice into Actions by Considering the Hierarchy of Needs dives into the basics of environmental justice (EJ) and explores considering human basic needs into environmental or other decision making in order to integrate EJ into daily conservation and organizational actions.
In most jobs, we have individual and organizational goals and metrics for success. These goals are typically separate from inclusivity and environmental justice and don’t include planning to adapt to climate change. I can help you create goals that integrate these important considerations into your plans, allowing you to focus on what you do best, but in a new, creative way that includes other perspectives.
Through a series of exercises, I will guide your organization through determining steps to integrate one or more of the following into your organization's goals and actions. a) environmental justice b) inclusivity c) climate adaptation
This could have an ecological focus for organizations managing land, but is relevant to any organization who wants to better incorporate these considerations. For all categories, metrics will be developed to measure success. Focus could be on just one of the below categories, or incorporate multiple or even all three.
Environmental justice- To incorporate environmental justice into organizational goals, we will start by exploring how the natural environment can contribute to people’s basic needs. Then, we will consider how your organization's work can improve the ways that the environment provides for the needs of underserved populations that your organization serves or can serve. Finally, we will generate organizational goals that advance environmental justice simultaneously with your organization's ongoing projects..
Inclusivity- To incorporate inclusivity into organizational goals beyond environmental justice, we will brainstorm what types of currently underrepresented, marginalized groups might be able to benefit from your organizations work (examples- neurodivergent, disabled, queer, racial or ethnic minorities). We will identify the basic needs of those groups, and current barriers to those groups benefitting from your work. Then we will consider novel ways to adapt current programming to remove those barriers, better serving those groups and providing for their needs. With this information, we will generate goals to simultaneously advance your organizations work while benefitting a diversity of groups, including more marginalized populations and expanding your organizational reach.
Climate adaptation- To incorporate climate adaption into goals, we will first explore which projected climatic changes are relevant for your geographic area, and review existing climate adaptation plans by local government or other relevant entities. Next, we will brainstorm how climate change could impact your organization or constituents, and identify steps to integrate climate resiliency into your organization's actions, aligning these actions with other existing organizations' climate action plans when applicable. This could have an ecological focus for organizations managing land, but is relevant to any organization who wants to plan for mitigating the impacts of climate change.
